Who are we?
The PCO is an organisation of exclusively professional UK cartoonists, formed from the amalgamation of two other bodies; The Cartoonists' Guild and FECO UK.
British cartoon art has a great, ignoble history and currently boasts a huge pool of talent. It deserves a higher media presence than it currently enjoys. Our aim is to make sure it gets it.
We want to promote cartoon art domestically and internationally by encouraging high standards of artwork and service, looking after the interests of cartoonists and promoting their work in all kinds of media.
In addition to this website, we publish a bi-monthly magazine called 'Foghorn' and our members are involved in organising the UK's premier annual cartooning event, the Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival. We seek collaboration with similar groups to mount cartoon art exhibitions.
The PCO is also a member of FECO (Federation of Cartoonists' Organisations).
