FECO Worldwide and FECO UK
FECO, the FEderation of Cartoonists Organisations, is an international link between the various associations of cartoonists around the world.
It was formed in 1984 by cartoonists from Holland, Belgium and the UK and now has member organisations in over 30 countries from Argentina to Australia. The FECO logo was designed by the late UK cartoonist Roland Fiddy.
The UK branch, previously known as FECO UK, was the basis for the PCO (an amalgamation with the Cartoonists Guild). PCO Vice-president, Alex Noel Watson is the PCO's link with FECO intenationally, whilst John Roberts is the UK FECO Secretary. Over the past couple of years members have attended cartoon events in Greece, France, Turkey, Serbia, Czech Republic and the US. They have also been jury members of international cartoon contests.
All PCO members are automatically members of FECO and as such, receive a bi-monthly electronic contests newsletter, a twice yearly printed magazine, a FECO international press card and access to the members' area of the FECO website.
