As a kid, I used to knock around at ITV's Spitting Image Workshop, which was invaluable experience. I supplemented my meagre grant by doing cartoons while at Bristol Uni. I became a full-time cartoonist in 1996, working for commercial clients, and producing artwork for greetings cards, adverts, leaflets, brochures, etc. I also produce framed caricatures as private and corporate commissions. I produced caricature sculptures for the pop group Madness, and garden ornament design, specifically for BBC's Ground Force and Blue Peter.

In about 2001, I decided to have a crack at political cartooning, and have worked for The Sunday Telegraph, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, Time Out, The Ecologist, The Daily Star Sunday, Local Government Chronicle, E!Sharp, Organic Life, The Fabian Review, and The Times Educational Supplement.

I have also produced caricatures for Jongleurs comedy clubs, cartoons for Anglia TV, countless bespoke jobs for Cartoonstock, and book illustrations for Macmillan Languagehouse. Recently, I produced an 'Annual' cover, and a couple of double-page spreads, for Quite Interesting Ltd. (in association with Faber & Faber), the people behind the Stephen Fry-fronted BBC show 'QI'
