Sold his first cartoon to Punch in 1976 and it's been uphill ever since! Pete has been a regular contributor to PRIVATE EYE for over thirty years as well as working for many other publications including PUNCH,TES,GUARDIAN,THE SPECTATOR,NEW STATESMAN and CHURCH TIMES.
His sharp, incisive wit and economic drawing style is constantly used by the advertising and PR sector as well as consumer agencies, such as the CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU, to help punch home their targeted messages.
One time "Not The Nine O'Clock News" gag writer Pete had also been involved, with other cartoonist chums, in setting up a "Cartoon Course for Beginners". Unfortunately a number of students have ignored our advice and gone on to become professional cartoonists in their own right!
Pete was BIG GRIN Cartoon Festival Artistic Director 2002-2004.
